Tahitian Dancing & Drumming
Te Fare O Tamatoa holds dance classes in Seattle, WA on Beacon Hill at Skin Deep Dance Studios on the top floor of El Centro De La Raza.

Female classes are divided into three groups based on experience in Tahitian dancing: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. All classes are ALL AGES.

Female dance attire:
Fitted top and a pareu (sarong) to wear on the bottom (tied on the hips). No heavy jewelry. No baggy pants. If you must, bike/spandex shorts or leggings only under your pareu. You will be dancing barefoot.

Male dance attire:
Shorts and a shirt. No pants. No jean material. No heavy jewelry. You will be dancing barefoot.


Drumming is open to males and females. There is a variety of drums to learn. Please email for details.

Those dancers who are a part of Te'a rama are expected to attend the appropriate TFOT class times to work on basics and technique. Exceptions can be made after talking with a director or the instructor.

Payment for dance classes:

$40 per month (due at the first class of each month)
